Music Education with Port Waratah Coal Services

Musica Viva In Schools' teacher forum

Musica Viva for the first time in 2017 will collaborate with Port Waratah Coal Services to deliver a community engagement program in Newcastle (NSW) which brings live performances to portside suburbs along with forums for local teachers so that they are better equipped to teach music in the classroom year-round.

A highlight of this program will be a Parent Engagement workshop for parents with children who have special learning requirements. This workshop will follow a similar structure to local teacher forums but focus more on activities that parents and children can engage with together and build upon activities experienced in school.
