As part of the Musica Viva artist development initiative FutureMakers, the first FutureMakers ensemble Arcadia Winds undertook a ten day intensive professional mentorship residency with the Australian String Quartet (ASQ) at UKARIA Cultural Centre, South Australia. Following on from this residency the Arcadia Quintet and the ASQ performed at the Perth International Arts Festival (PIAF) Chamber Music Weekend.

Arcadia Winds became the first participants in the FutureMakers program in 2015 and this intensive is part of a larger suite of professional development activities that the ensemble have been undertaking year round, under the guidance of FutureMakers artistic director Genevieve Lacey. The aim of the Future Makers program is to equip the Arcadia Winds with lifelong skills to flourish as artists and musical leaders.
