If you are looking for a simple, easy and tax effective way to support Musica Viva, workplace giving might just be the way to go.

Giving via your employer means that your contribution is deducted directly from your pre-tax pay as a salary sacrifice so you can enjoy the tax benefit straight away while supporting the important work we do for communities across Australia.

Payroll giving is one of the most effective ways of helping disadvantaged children and their communities access music education. By giving regular donations, Musica Viva can build sustainable, long-term support for communities. In addition, many employers match your donation dollar-for-dollar, doubling the impact of your support. Pretty good isn’t it?!


$100 can help fund professional development workshops for teachers.
$250 can subsidise the transport for children from small schools to attend a live music performance.
$600 can provide a school workshop with two musicians.
$1500 can offer 150 students a term’s worth of music education.
$5000 can bring an ensemble to a remote school.


If your company or organisation already has a workplace giving program in place and you wish to support Musica Viva in this way, contact your human resources department to ask them about joining the program and making donations to Musica Viva.

If your employer does not have a workplace giving program in place, now is your time to shine. You can be the one to kick-start one. Contact your community affairs, corporate social responsibility or human resources department to suggest a workplace giving program be established and for Musica Viva to be nominated as a charity partner.
