For nearly 40 years, Musica Viva In Schools has delivered pioneering music education programs across Australia, reaching over 270,000 students each year. Through our programs, we witness daily how a quality music education impacts positively and powerfully on a child’s relationship with themselves and the world around them.
Unfortunately, 60% of school children are still not offered music in the classroom and miss out on the development benefits of a quality music education.
At Musica Viva, we believe we can transform lives through music, but we need your help! Your generosity and support will assist in ensuring that every child in Australia has access to quality music education, regardless of distance or disadvantage.
Our aim is to double our reach by 2020. That would bring music into the lives of over half a million children annually - imagine that!
We know that we won’t get a second chance with a child’s primary school years. Your actions today will help change the tomorrow for Australian children.
