Amadeus Society

Jerusalem Quartet playing in private performance for the Amadeus Society

The Amadeus Society is a group of passionate music lovers and advocates in Sydney and Melbourne who have joined together to support the extraordinary artistic initiatives of Musica Viva.

The Society membership contributes directly to the Artistic Initiatives Fund, providing necessary funding to bring otherwise unattainable stellar international artists to Australia for our International Concert Series.

In 2017, the group is celebrating 10 years and is thrilled to support national tours by both Eighth Blackbird and Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment & Rachel Podger. Previous artists supported by the Amadeus Society include Maxim Vengerov, Tafelmusik, Gideon Kremer and Sabine Meyer and the creation of an entirely new chamber opera, Voyage to the Moon in 2016.
