Our plan to make Musica Viva Australia a more inclusive place

Musica Viva Australia is committed to being a welcoming, accessible and diverse organisation – one that champions and celebrates everyone in our broad community and creates space for all Australians to enjoy music and participate in music-making. 

This commitment is documented in our Access, Equity and Inclusion Plan, developed in 2024 over eight months of listening, learning and discussing among our staff, board, artists, audiences and MVA community members, with the guidance of consultants Dr Rachael Jacobs and Morwenna Collett. 

This Plan represents the beginning of what we hope will be an important and transformational journey, and is a foundation for further learning and growth. We invite feedback, commit to transparency about our progress and undertake to renew this Plan at the end of its three-year timespan.
