Duo Histoire

Enter the grounds of Emanuel Synagogue and be part of a special Musica Viva Sessions event, featuring one of Sydney’s finest emerging classical ensembles, Duo Histoire.

Saxophonist Nicholas Russoniello and guitarist Murilo Tanouye perform an eclectic program of works spanning Argentinian tango through to Spanish Romantic and Classical repertoire.

Enjoy a glass of wine on arrival as we invite you into the inspiring New Sanctuary of Emanuel Synagogue for an intimate musical experience.

Duo Histoire is one of Sydney’s finest emerging classical ensembles, always delivering fresh performances in a variety of musical styles. Their broad repertoire ranges from Argentinian tango to Spanish Romantic music, and from Bossa Nova standards to purely Classical works.

Since its formation, Duo Histoire has attracted the attention of audiences, appearing in music festivals and giving concerts across the country. Recently the Duo has recorded for ABC Classic FM, broadcast for Fine Music 102.5FM, performed at the Sydney Opera House for the prestigious Utzon Room Series and appeared as soloists with The Metropolitan Orchestra. The Duo’s new album Autumn/Winter can be heard regularly on ABC Classic, Radio National and Fine Music 102.5.
