Ticket FAQs

A Gold Subscription is a package that consists of all the International Concert Season concerts in that city. In Sydney, Melbourne, Perth & Adelaide, that is 7 concerts while in Brisbane, Canberra & Newcastle, it is 6 concerts.

A Gold Subscription is the best way to purchase tickets for Musica Viva because you get the best benefits. Not only do you save up to 18% on single ticket prices, you can enjoy the same great seats every year!

Gold subscribers receive a complimentary additional ticket to either the Goldner String Quartet and Piers Lane or the Goldmund Quartet.

You will also recievea exclusive Musica Viva news and invitations to VIP events at concerts throughout the year. Enjoy a 10% discount for additional tickets, free ticket exchanges and a deferred payment option as well as a range of other benefits from our partners.


A Choose Subscription gives you the benefits of a subscriber, while allowing you the freedom to see the concerts you are most interested in. Choose Subscriptions are available for 3, 4, 5 or 6 concerts, depending on your city.

You will save up to 12.5% on single ticket prices, as well as a 10% discount on additional tickets, free ticket exchanges and a deferred payment option and a range of other benefits from our partners.

Subscriptions are open now to both existing and new subscribers and will remain open as long as they can be purchased in each city.


Subscribe securely online - whether you're a current Gold Subscriber, a current Choose Subscriber or a new subscriber.

If you have not purchased tickets online through us before, you will need to register your details. An online account with Musica Viva allows you to access your subscription information, update your preferences and purchase additional tickets at any time.

Instalment payments are not available when you subscribe online.

Please note: Subscription applications posted to Musica Viva must be mailed at least two weeks prior to the date of the first concert in your package, to allow us sufficient time to process your request.

For assistance in renewing your subscription, or in selecting the best subscription package to suit you, please call Patron Services on 1800 688 482 (toll free) between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday (AEST).

We know that sometimes you’ll want to bring a friend along! To help you share these concerts, any subscriber can access a 10% discount for any additional tickets you purchase to any concerts in the 2020 season.

Of course! Single tickets for the 2020 season are now on sale.

Tickets will be available from Musica Viva or through external ticketing agencies.

Musica Viva does not charge booking or transaction fees on tickets purchased through our Box Office, either online or by phone. Tickets purchased through external ticketing agencies may incur additional charges.

Yes, you can. All subscribers can exchange tickets for an upcoming concert to another date at no extra cost.

Seating within the events you wish to exchange into is subject to availability.

Tickets can be exchanged from Tuesday 5 November 2019. Simply return your ticket(s) to Musica Viva at least 48 hours before the concert.

Unfortunately, we cannot issue a refund for unused tickets. However, we offer unlimited free exchanges for all subscribers.

If you misplace your ticket(s) please call Patron Services on 1800 688 482.

Alternatively, visit the Musica Viva VIP Desk at the venue on the day of your concert for a Ticket Replacement Voucher at no charge.

Full-time students, means-tested Australian pensioners (Aged, Disability, Veterans’ Affairs and Supporting Parent) and Health Care Card holders are eligible to receive Musica Viva’s Concession prices. Seniors Card holders are not eligible.

To claim a concession, please enclose photocopied proof of eligibility with your booking form. Alternatively, you can email it to [email protected]

Save up to 40% on subscriptions if you are aged under 40. Proof of age must be supplied when booking and may be required prior to admission to each concert.

We also offer $40 tickets to all concerts throughout the year.

Enjoy a 10% discount on group bookings of 10 or more people (excluding Under 40 and Concession prices). 

Group bookings are only available over the phone on 1800 688 482.

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express. You can also redeem a Musica Viva gift voucher.

Subscribers can also take advantage of our deferred payment method, allowing you to spread the cost of your subscription over two instalments. This option is only available over the phone.


Deferred payments allow subscribers to spread the cost of your subscription over two equal instalments. The first instalment is due at the time of purchase, while the second instalment will be automatically deducted on Friday 18 January 2019.

Deferred payment is not available when booking online.


Your tickets will be sent via Australia Post to your nominated address. If you are purchasing a concession or Under 40's subscription, a valid ID must be scanned and emailed to our Patron Services team at [email protected] prior to tickets being posted.

Alternatively, we offer Venue Collection. All concert tickets within a subscription will be available for collection on the date of the first concert at the Musica Viva collection point in your city.

If the first concert date within your subscription package is to be held within 7 days of your purchase, the venue collection option is automatically selected.


Tickets sold to Musica Viva performances are subject to conditions of sale.

By forwarding a subscription application, it is understood that you have read and accepted the full terms and conditions. If you purchase tickets on behalf of someone else, you will be deemed to have agreed to the terms on your own behalf as an agent for them.


Your personal details will be treated confidentially in accordance with the appropriate legislation and Musica Viva’s Privacy Policy


The information available in the 2020 season brochure was correct at the time of printing. Musica Viva reserves the right to alter, substitute or withdraw any advertised programs, artists and venues and to change any seating arrangements.
