Rachel Scott cello
Genevieve Lang harp
Rachel Scott and Genevieve Lang share a passion for bringing classical music to as many communities as possible, through innovative programming, education work and radio broadcasting. As musicians, they explore the unique sonorities of their instruments, working with composers on creating compelling works for cello and harp.
Rachel has performed as a soloist and chamber musician internationally and across Australia. The founder of the highly successful and innovative ‘Bach in the Dark’ concert series, she also works with the Australian Chamber Orchestra and Australian Children’s Music Foundation providing underprivileged children with ongoing access to a quality music experience in the classroom. Genevieve performs regularly as guest principal with the Sydney and Tasmanian Symphony Orchestras, is a founding member of SHE (Seven Harp Ensemble), and is a presenter on ABC Classic FM.
The duo’s program explores the soaring voice of the cello matched seamlessly by the resonance and magic of the harp, featuring audience favourites alongside music that gives you a chance to stop, think, and reflect on you and your world.
Witness Rachel and Genevieve’s shared joy in playing together and their entertaining, often laugh-out-loud introductions as they bring music to audiences, and audiences to music.
