Join us in 2019 for inspiring performances, great company, tea, coffee, cake and savoury delights on five Tuesday mornings throughout the year.
Welcome to a new year of magnificent morning chamber music from Musica Viva. We have carefully assembled an array of the finest musicians and repertoire for your delectation.
The season kicks off with two amazingly talented Melburnians – bass-baritone Jeremy Kleeman and pianist Stefan Cassomenos join to present a delicious set of songs by Ravel, Vaughan Williams and Schubert.
The early music virtuosi of Accademia Arcadia follow up with an arresting program of Baroque masterworks featuring their first public performance with the remarkable and historic Cristofori pianoforte, donated to the group by Dame Elisabeth Murdoch.
On sabbatical from her burgeoning career in Finland, pianist Aura Go keeps the joy alive in a classic program of Bach, Beethoven and Debussy.
The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra boasts some of the finest musicians in the country and we proudly present Associate Concertmaster Sophie Rowell and Principal Viola Christopher Moore in concert as a duo for the first time. Their program includes Mozart and Martinů alongside the world premiere of a new work by Stuart Greenbaum specially commissioned for the season.
The year closes with a triumphant return performance by the winners of the 2018 Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition - Trio Marvin.
The 2019 Morning Masters concert series is a glittering showcase of superlative performance and consummate content. A perfect way to indulge both your senses and your spirit.
