"Chamber music teaches two very important things: to see further than the end of one’s nose and to be able to trust people; to not see the competition in everyone, but to give up the ego and see what is beneath the surface. There is something very mesmerising in watching how other people understand each other without saying a word." Roma Aleksandra Tic, violin
Bukolika Piano Trio is an ensemble recognised for their intensely expressive music making, colourful performances and exceptional virtuosity.
Established in 2014 the Bukolika trio is particularly interested in discovering and performing chamber works of the 20th and 21st century, especially from their native Poland. One of the most recent achievements of the ensemble is being selected for St John's Smith Square Young Artists Scheme 2017/2018, the finalist title of the St Marin in the Fields Chamber Music Competition 2017 and collaboration with composer Hanna Kulenty.
The Bukolika Trio have performed in many renowned concert halls in Europe and UK such as St John’s Smith Square, St Martin in the Fields, Great Hall Dartington, St James’s Piccadilly Church, Krakow Philharmonic Hall and St Peter’s Church, as well as at important festivals including the Piano Festival and Russian Chamber Music Series at the Royal Academy of Music. In June 2017 they made their debut on BBC Radio 3. All of the ensemble members are currently studying at the Royal Academy of Music in London.
