Five of Australia’s finest brass players come together to perform with exceptional artistry. The Australian Brass Quintet are dedicated to presenting creative and engaging programs including established masterpieces, innovative new works for the modern brass quintet and collaborations with local and international artists. The ABQ is a unique Australian ensemble sought after for commissions, festivals, recordings, collaborations and residencies. They are passionate about the future of brass music in Australia which they foster by championing new works, presenting education programs and residencies, and mentoring young professional musicians.


Street Song
From the electrifying rhythms of Bernstein’s West Side Story to the reflective songs of love and loss by sixteenth century Spanish composer Juan de Encina, Street Song is a celebration of songs popular and little known from around the world and across the ages. With commentary by the performers this is a unique evening that will have something for everyone.
