Elias Quartet

The Elias Quartet

Sara Bitlloch violin
Donald Grant violin
Martin Saving viola
Marie Bitlloch cello

Formed at Manchester’s Royal Northern College of Music and nurtured in Germany, the Elias Quartet is established as one of Britain’s foremost chamber ensembles. With a substantial career launched with support from the Wigmore Hall Emerging Artists scheme, the BBC New Generation Artists program and a Borletti- Buitoni Trust award, the Quartet has won hearts through ‘playing of wonderful exuberance and fire’ (The Guardian).

The Elias Quartet comprises two sisters, Sara and Marie Bitlloch on violin and cello, with Donald Grant on violin and Martin Saving on viola. Together they are a tight-knit, almost telepathic musical unit, whose artistic curiosity takes them into extraordinary sonic adventures, happily shared with delighted listeners.
