One of the most dynamic and exciting young quartets currently performing, the Jerusalem Quartet continues to be in great demand all over the world. The 2006/07 season sees the continuation of the Quartet’s Shostakovich cycle at the Amsterdam Concertgebouw; the entire cycle will also be performed in six concerts in the Berlin Konzerthaus, Vancouver and Dortmund. This season the Quartet also returns to the Wigmore Hall and the Cologne Philharmonie, as well as performing in Brussels, Paris, Munich, Luxembourg, Geneva, Chicago, New York and Washington. The Jerusalem Quartet has recently completed a six-city Japanese tour; in July this year the Quartet makes its debut at the Verbier Festival in Switzerland and in August will be performing a three-concert Brahms project in the Robeco Summer Concert Series in Amsterdam. The Quartet continues as Musica Viva’s Quartet-in-Residence from 2006 until 2009.
