The Musica Viva In Schools Concert & Workshop Program consists of:
LIVE MUSIC CONCERTS
• One hour concerts in your school for up to 300 students per concert
• Groups with programs featuring diverse musical styles
• Opportunities to participate with professional musicians
• Programs adapted to meet the needs of your students and teachers in both elective and non-elective classes
• Interactive performances presented in metropolitan, regional and remote areas
WORKSHOPS
• Practical vocal and/or instrumental workshops for elective or non-elective students
• Encourages students to further develop their musical knowledge and skills
• Provides students with the opportunity to work with an expert professional musician
• May include two musicians or a whole group working with a class or ensemble to deepen students’ learning
TEACHING RESOURCES
• Curriculum-based teaching and learning activities for elective and non-elective music students
• Comprehensive book and CD including background information, curriculum links, step-by-step activities and musical scores
