Much-loved pianist Piers Lane returns to Newcastle following his superb collaboration with the Australian String Quartet last year. Piers grew up in Brisbane before embarking on a distinguished international career that has taken him to more than forty countries. An Honorary Member of the Royal Academy of Music, he has been a Professor there for over thirteen years. Well known in the UK as a broadcaster for BBC Radio 3, he wrote and presented an acclaimed 54-part series entitled The Piano.
